When a young person who has been placed into the foster care system loses one of their foster carers who sadly passed in 2021 it needed something special…
.
It was a pleasure & a privilege to be asked to work with this incredible young lady (13 years old) who brought her heartfelt lyrics to us back in April …a song she had written called ; ‘ My Missing Piece ‘ a song dedicated to her late foster dad David.
.
2 months later she has recorded a complete original song and starred in her own music video… not bad for a young person who was also getting bullied by her peers at school…
.
Be the light in someone’s storm.. be who you needed when you were younger ..
.
Special mention @bartldrum @smashlifeuk for all the hard work he did behind the scenes… when you play a video to a room full of hundreds of adults and you can hear a pin drop you know it’s had an impact …
